Frederick Babinger

Senior Manager/ Process Strategies Group

Fred Babinger offers more than 35 years of leadership, management, and manufacturing experience.For 18 years, he was Vice President of Manufacturing for Lane Press in South Burlington. Previously he was Vice President of Manufacturing and Technology Development at Case-Hoyt in Rochester, New York.

Fred served as a member of the VMEC Advisory Board and as chairperson for several years. He joined the VMEC/Process Strategies Group in 2006.

Fred is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology. He also completed an executive development program at RIT and Temple University.

Brenda Kelly

Process Strategies Advisor

Brenda offers her clients over 20 years of manufacturing experience. Her areas of expertise include Lean methods for healthcare and manufacturing, quality issues (SPC, quality plans, ISO 9000/14,000), environmental issues, and materials engineering, including new product development, materials selection, processing, failure analysis, and laboratory testing.

Prior to joining VMEC, Brenda worked in consumer electronics, office products, and medical products. She has been a staff member of VMEC since 1996 and began working with PSG in 2006.

Brenda graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1985 with dual majors in metallurgical engineering & materials science, and engineering & public policy.

Brad Bauman, P.E.

Process Strategies Advisor

Brad offers 20 years of engineering and management experience, including production and process engineering positions. A 1984 graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in industrial engineering, Brad joined VMEC in 2004 and began working with PSG in 2006.

Erin Quatrini

Marketing & Training Manager

Erin has over 6 years of experience in marketing and program management. Before joining VMEC, she was the Direct Mail Manager for Littleton Coin Company.

Erin joined VMEC in 2007.

As a business unit of VMEC, PSG is able to draw upon the talents of VMEC team members and the full resources of the Center when necessary.
